CBRE contracted DPI as their Construction Manager, for their Head Office relocation in Toronto. This highly detailed and intricate design required an active hands-on approach by all stakeholders, leading to a successful project handover, completed within schedule. This successful delivery was aided by DPI’s proactive preconstruction approach, where long lead items were immediately identified in design development, ordered and received early for later installation. The project requirements included particular client requests such as open plenums, polished concrete topping, custom black electrified Dirtt office fronts, light harvesting, and ambient noise reduction techniques. The final design centered around some highly intricate features such as a floating internal stair, a custom hanging ceiling sculpture leading to reception, asymmetrical angled office fronts and boardrooms, with accents of bronze plating throughout. The final product reflected a beautiful collaborative design, that was both LEED Gold certified and one of the first projects in Canada to achieve the innovative WELL Building certification.
